Rob Jenkins Concert - September 19 2010 at 3pm![]()
Rob Jenkins, son of Bob and Shirley Jenkins, will be offering an organ concert in our sanctuary at 3:00 p.m. on September 19. His music will include selections from various periods of classical organ literature. Rob holds a Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree in Music Performance from Pittsburg State University, and an Artist Diploma from Oberlin College Conservatory of Music in Oberlin, Ohio. VBS 2010Vacation Bible School (Grades refer to 2010-2011 school year) Follow along with Dr. Luke and his sidekick Theo as they embark on a comic caper to research Jesus’ identity for the book Luke is writing. They interview eye witnesses to key moments of Christ’s life for a complete biography starting with his birth and moving to the resurrection. Middle and High School auditions for up-coming middle school and high school students for lead roles and behind the scenes assignments will be held on Sunday, July 11 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. Ages 5 (by Sept. 1) through grade 5 are invited to join the older youth in the study of Luke that makes up the musical and rehearse their parts in the story July 25-29 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. A public performance of our Biblical musical will be held on Thursday, July 29, at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free! Everyone is welcome! This is an ecumenical bible school offered by First Presbyterian Church, First Christian Church, Grace Episcopal Church, and New Hope Baptist Church. Registration forms are available in church mailboxes. Extra copies are available at the youth bulletin board by the parlor, or they can be downloaded below. |
